Once upon a time there lived louse. Now, this louse decided to leaver her husband and go out into the world to search for a new groom. On the road she met a dove. "Louse, O Louse," he called. "Where are you going?"
To which the louse replied, "I am off to marry another!"
"Will you marry me?" the dove cooed in a lovesick voice.
So the louse asked him, "how will you prove your love for me?"
The pigeon answered, "I will spread my wings and fold you up inside, feed you grain, and sing you a sweet lullaby: Goot-a-rungo!"
The louse cried out, "Oh, no! Who will ever marry you?" and so saying, she tinkled the dainty bells at her heels and marched onward.
On the road she met a crow.
"Louse, O louse," he called. "Where are you going?"
To which the louse replied, " I am off to marry another!"
The crow cawed in a voice melting with love, "Will you marry me?"
So the louse asked him, "How will you prove your love for me?"
The crow answered, "I will feed you bread and yogurt, serve you milk, and sing you a sweet lullaby Kaw! Kaw!"
The louse cried out, "Oh, no! Who will ever marry you?" and so saying, she waved her thick armlet and moved on.
On the road she met a bull.
"Louse, O louse," he called. "Where are you going?"
To which the louse replied, "I am off to marry another!"
The bull asked, "Will you marry me?"
