       Roseanne Barr, the hot comedienne, taped a comedy show for HBO that featured an unruly stage family. The husband is an unkempt slob. After the show, the camera follows Roseanne back to her trailer. There she finds her stage husband asleep in front of the television. Stubble-faced, with a huge belly bulging beneath his stained undershirt, he snoozes holding an empty beer can. Suddenly, he rises from his La-Zee-Boy, transformed: He is clean-shaven and dressed in a tuxedo. The magic of the moment is spectacular. He is her handsome prince, and the two are out for a night on the town.
       
        You too, should be transformed as you dress for a big event or special party. That is part of the magic of the evening. Yet, as the holiday party season rolls around, it's not hard to find yourself feeling like an out-in-the-cold Cinderella--or, Cinderfella. Fortunately, you don't need a fairy godmother to change your appearance. Though not always as dramatic in real life, image transformations can happen with just a little work.
       
        What really needs to be done to make you look like the queen--or king--of the ball? Plastic surgery is definitely out of the question, for the Big Party is only days away!
       
        Lift The Spirit With A Little Pampering
       
        Are your muscles tense from stress! Is your skin dull or puffy looking?
       
        Start by getting at least eight hours of sleep every night. Restful sleep is the great healer of stress-related tension. If you consistently have trouble falling asleep, restrict your coffee or caffeinated cola intake to the morning hours.
       
        Drinking thirty-two ounces of cool tap or bottled water daily will keep you hydrated and feeling fresh, while helping to flush toxins and wastes from your body. Avoiding or limiting the use of alcohol, especially in the days before the big party, will reduce puffiness around the eyes. Needless to say, if you quit smoking, you'll immediately slow down the drying, wrinkling, and premature aging of your face.
